The Sixteenth ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting (ADMM) was convened in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on 22 June 2022 under the theme “Solidarity for Harmonised Security”. On the sidelines, the ADMM had informal meetings with the Defence Ministers of China and Japan.
The 16th ADMM adopted among others the Joint Declaration of the ASEAN Defence Ministers on Defence Cooperation to Strengthen Solidarity for a Harmonised Security and the Phnom Penh Vision on the Role of Defence Establishments in Support of COVID-19 Recovery.
