WE, the Fourth ASEAN Plus Japan Ministerial Meeting on Sports (4th AMMS+Japan), gathered in Chiang Mai on 1 September 2023, consisting of the Sports Ministers of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (hereinafter referred to as “ASEAN”) and Japan;

COMMEMORATING the 50th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation as a significant milestone highlighting the dedicated efforts of ASEAN-Japan since 1973 in nurturing “heart to heart” relationship based on mutual confidence and trust with the ASEAN Member States and signifying the shared commitment of both sides as equal partners in building peace and prosperity in the region;
