Speaking on a panel on the topic “ASEAN Security Dilemma: Can ASEAN Lead Its Own Regional Order Beyond Major Power Politics?”, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political-Security Community, Dato’ Astanah Abdul Aziz, highlighted that ASEAN remains the driving force of regional architecture. Amidst an increasingly turbulent regional landscape, ASEAN continues to exert agency in shaping the regional order through the various ASEAN-led mechanisms. The panel is part of the Forum on ASEAN: Shaping a More Inclusive and Sustainable Future, organised by the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia.
