Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN, H.E. Nararya S. Soeprapto, and Ambassador, Mission of Japan to ASEAN, H.E. Kiya Masahiko, respectively delivered the welcoming and opening remarks at the Opening Ceremony of the ASEAN-Japan Good Practice Seminar on Intellectual Property 2024 (JSIP Follow-up Seminar). In his remarks, DSG Nararya highlighted the importance of the event, as a platform for exchange of views and knowledge on legal frameworks and practices in the Intellectual Property (IP) dispute resolution focusing on trademark infringements. As one of the activities to implement the ASEAN – Japan Work Plan on Law and Justice, DSG Nararya shared his hopes that the outcome of the Seminar will provide meaningful inputs to the broader cooperation framework between ASEAN and Japan in the field of IP.
