1. The Twentieth AEM-India Consultation (AEM-India Consultation) was held on 21 August 2023. The Consultation was co-chaired by H.E. Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of Trade, Republic of Indonesia and Mr. Rajesh Agrawal, Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, India. The Meeting also welcomed H.E. Filipus Nino Pereira, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste who joined the Meeting as an observer.
2. The Meeting noted that, based on preliminary ASEAN statistics, two-way trade between ASEAN and India in 2022 reached USD 113 billion, increasing by 23.4 per cent year-on-year. While total foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows from India reached USD 681 million in 2022.
