- The Fourteenth ASEAN and ROK Transport Ministers Meeting (14th ATM+ROK) was held on 10 November 2023. The Meeting was co-chaired by H.E. Mr. Ngampasong Muongmany, Minister of Public Works and Transport of Lao PDR and H.E. Mr. Kang Hee-up, Commissioner, Metropolitan Transport Commission, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. The Meeting was preceded by the Fifteenth ASEAN and ROK Senior Transport Officials Meeting (15th STOM+ROK) held on 8 November 2023.
- The Meeting welcomed the positive outcomes of the 13th ASEAN-ROK Transport Cooperation Forum, which was held on 4 July 2023, in Seoul, ROK, under the theme: “Riding the Wave of Smart Mobility”. The Meeting acknowledged that the Forum would create a driving force for the deployment of smart mobility utilising advanced technologies in achieving seamless movement in a cleaner, safer, and more efficient manner and underscored the need to align ASEAN-ROK transport cooperation projects with regional initiatives under the Kuala Lumpur Transport Strategic Plan 2016-2025 and its successor.
