1. We, Brunei Darussalam, the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Republic of Indonesia, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Malaysia, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the Republic of the Philippines, the Republic of Singapore, the Kingdom of Thailand, and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, stand united as One ASEAN on the occasion of the eighth session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction 2025 (GPDRR 2025), in Geneva, Switzerland.

 

2. We reaffirm our strong commitment to the full and effective implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (SFDRR) 2015-2030, including through the Asia-Pacific Action Plan 2021-2024. In line with the theme of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (GPDRR) 2025 “Every Day Counts: Act for Resilience Today,” we are committed to accelerating efforts in building a disaster-resilient ASEAN Community by advancing the implementation of the ASEAN Agreement on Disaster Management and Emergency Response (AADMER) and AADMER Work Programme 2021-2025, which is aligned with the SFDRR. As we are developing the AADMER Work Programme 2026-2030, we remain committed to ensuring its continued alignment with the SFDRR.
