- The First ASEAN-Republic of Korea Ministerial Meeting on Disaster
Management (1st AMMDM Plus ROK) was held on 20 October 2022, under the cochairmanship of H.E. Pol. Lt. Gen. Nadhapit Snidvongs, Vice Minister of Interior,
Kingdom of Thailand, on behalf of the Chair of the AMMDM, and H.E. Kim Sung-Ho,
Vice Minister for Disaster and Safety Management of the Ministry of the Interior and
Safety of the Republic of Korea.
- We affirmed the steadfast relationship between ASEAN and of the Republic of
Korea, under the auspices of the ASEAN-ROK Ministerial Meeting on Disaster
Management, and the common objective to pursue people-centered development and
protection of people’s lives as top priorities towards achieving a substantial reduction of
disaster losses in lives and enhance disaster resilience of our region through
collaboration and cooperation in disaster management.
