JAKARTA, 27 December 2023  — The 14th issue of the ASEAN Economic Integration Brief (AEIB) was released today.

This edition presents two featured articles on ASEAN’s efforts to advance the region’s decarbonisation goals and ambitions, as well as the ongoing preparation to develop the AEC Post-2025 agenda. It also features an analysis on regional economic outlook and the latest updates on the ASEAN Economic Community.

ASEAN continues to maintain its economic growth this year despite weak global demand affected by high inflation and financial tightening. Whilst ASEAN’s economic outlook remains positive, and the implementation of the AEC Blueprint 2025 continues to progress, it remains crucial for the region to enhance its resilience in the face of potential shocks.
