Latest issue of ASEAN Economic Integration Brief covers ATIGA upgrade and AEC Post-2025

AEIB_No11

JAKARTA, 28 June 2022 – The 11th issue of the ASEAN Economic Integration Brief (AEIB) was released today.

This edition presents two featured articles on the latest initiatives to further strengthen ASEAN economic integration and existing efforts to chart ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) post-2025 agenda. It also features an analysis of regional economic outlook and the latest updates on the AEC.

As the world enters the endemic new normal phase, global economy has remained volatile. Inflationary pressure and food and energy crisis resulting from the conflict in Eastern Europe, which has been exacerbated by the climate crisis and changing global landscape, have strained the global economy and undermined economic prospects.

Despite these risks, the implementation of the AEC Blueprint 2025, as highlighted in the latest edition of the AEIB, continues to progress.

As regular features of the AEIB since its first launch in 2017, the issue also presents an overview of the regional economic outlook, the latest updates on the AEC, and the latest key economic indicators relevant to the region.
