Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today attended the handover ceremony of the Second Protocol to Amend the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement (ATIGA) by the ASEAN Economic Ministers on the sidelines of the 47th ASEAN Summit, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This momentous event was witnessed by the ASEAN Leaders.
The upgraded ATIGA represents a significant leap forward, designed to be more responsive to both regional and global economic shifts. This forward-looking Agreement deepens and widens economic integration among ASEAN Member States (AMS), fostering an environment conducive to the growth and development of robust supply chains.
