Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today participated in the 13th ASEAN-United States Summit, convened in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Summit reviewed the progress of the ASEAN-U.S. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and discussed its future direction. The Leaders adopted the ASEAN-United States Leaders’ Joint Vision Statement to Promote Stronger, Safer, and More Prosperous ASEAN and America, which reaffirms both sides’ commitment to strengthening cooperation and maintaining regional peace, stability, and prosperity. The Summit was attended by the ASEAN Leaders or their representatives, the President of the United States, The Honorable Donald J. Trump.
