Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn attended the 16th Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA)’s Governing Board Meeting today at the ASEAN Secretariat. In his remarks, Dr Kao highlighted areas that are relevant to ASEAN-ERIA partnership, including ASEAN Centrality, digital transformation, sustainability, and the importance of the Indo-Pacific region for ASEAN and the wider region.

The ERIA Governing Board is responsible for overseeing the overall management and operations of ERIA, particularly the Institute’s research and policy analyses to support the ASEAN Economic Community building and wider East Asian economic integration initiatives.
