Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today delivered a lecture at the Center for Southeast Asian Studies of the Kyoto University. The lecture was titled “Is ASEAN still relevant today?” and was attended by students from multidisciplinary backgrounds. During the lecture, Dr. Kao spoke about the ASEAN’s contributions to peace, prosperity and stability of the region. He highlighted that ASEAN’s relevance is anchored on an ongoing commitment to peace, stability and prosperity in the region and beyond.
