Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today delivered opening remarks at the US-ABC AI Workshop Series, on the margins of the ASEAN AI Malaysia Summit 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This inaugural session convened with participation of policymakers and industry leaders coming together to explore ASEAN’s evolving AI safety landscape, and identify practical tools and policy recommendations to support safe, responsible, and inclusive AI deployment across the region.
