Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today delivered remarks at the China-ASEAN Business Leaders Forum, in Nanning, China. Held under the theme “AI Connects ASEAN and Digitalisation Innovates Future for Shared Development,” the Forum brought together policymakers, academics, and industry stakeholders from both ASEAN and China.

The forum served as a platform to explore opportunities for cooperation in digital transformation, with particular emphasis on the application of artificial intelligence to support inclusive and sustainable development. Discussions also highlighted the importance of advancing trade and investment facilitation to deepen ASEAN-China economic cooperation, strengthen regional competitiveness, and enhance the integration and resilience of supply chains in the evolving global economy.
