Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn paid a courtesy call on the newly-elected Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet on the sidelines of the 43rd ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Jakarta today. Dr Kao congratulated Prime Minister Hun Manet on assumption of office and looked forward to his and other ASEAN Leaders’ guidance on ASEAN Community building and relations with external partners at the 43rd ASEAN Summit. The Prime Minister and Secretary-General also engaged in candid discussions on the future of ASEAN, building on the success of Cambodia’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2022.
