Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn paid a courtesy visit on the President of Timor-Leste Dr José Ramos-Horta at the Presidential Palace, in Dili, today. SG Dr Kao expressed his great appreciation for Timor-Leste’s eagerness and effort in becoming a full member of ASEAN. The Secretary-General of ASEAN reiterated the ASEAN Secretariat’s support to Timor-Leste in all its efforts to fulfil the requirements set out by ASEAN as well as in increasing its capacity building. The courtesy call was concluded by a generous one-on-one lunch hosted by the President.
