In an interview with the People’s Daily, held on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit 2025 in Tianjin, China, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, discussed potential avenues for cooperation between the SCO and ASEAN. He addressed how the two organisations can cooperate to address common challenges, including regional security, energy transition, and supply chain resilience, amid a complex global situation. Dr. Kao also highlighted priority areas for future collaboration.
