In his first engagement on the Working Visit to the Republic of Korea, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn spoke at the ASEAN-ROK Experts Roundtable organised by the Sejong Institute. During the roundtable, SG Dr. Kao provided a snapshot of ASEAN’s journey in building its Community thus far and highlighted how ROK, and more specifically the Sejong Institute, could contribute to the ASEAN Community-building process. He also suggested for the Institute to propose measures to leverage ROK’s participation in the various ASEAN-led mechanisms to support both ASEAN-ROK relations and ROK’s relations with other partners.
