JOINT MEDIA STATEMENT

1. The 49 th Meeting of the ASEAN Economic Ministers (AEM) was held on 7 September 2017 in Pasay City, Philippines. It was chaired by H.E Ramon M. Lopez, Secretary of Trade and Industry of the Philippines. The 49th AEM was preceded by a preparatory meeting of the Senior Economic Officials (SEOM). The AEM also held joint meetings with the 31st ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA) Council and the 20th ASEAN Investment Area (AIA) Council.
